Current Music:”Git up, Git out” by Outkast
Friday I went to work knowing I was going to be getting out super early, so that was awesome. Awesome like Jesus was awesome, probably.
After work was out I picked up Madison (My new girlfriend) and we left to go to Cannon Beach. We stayed at the Ecola Creek Lodge, which is stationed RIGHT by where I used to have a cabin. So it was cool getting nostalgic over all the different places I visited when I was a wee lad. As soon as we got the hotel we walked to where my Cabin was and I showed her all the different spots and little historical significances of them. It was really fun.
Then we went up the hill that lead to the beach. I decided that we should just walk into town from the beach since I made a “reservation” (I put it in quotations because the bitch that answered the phone told me “We don’t take Reservations but I can put you on a waiting list” like there’s a fucking difference, whore!?) with Driftwood inn for dinner. Unfortunately my memory had lapsed on the part where there’s a huge fucking River outletting into the ocean… whoops! So we had to walk all the way back and go to a bridge. I told her I could swim us across but I guess it’s not a good idea to be wet when going to a fine dining restaurant.
We got to the restaurant and I ate a totes amazing Fettuccini Alfredo with Crab and Mushrooms. Fuggin’ intense. Afterword we walked the town.
The next morning was Madison’s birthday and we walked around the town and I bought her some candy and coffee and we ate at Lazy Susan’s. Great food there. Then we decided we were done with Cannon Beach (it was damn windy).
We got back into town and I met her Parents for the first time. They were really cool and, as per usual, they loved me as well. What’s not to dig? We all made an effort to get Madison as drunk as humanly possible. It worked because this morning she had a shit aching headache. Mission accomplished!
